# CORK > CORK is a documentary about Cork Marcheschi, a San Francisco artist, sculptor and musician who has spent more than 50 years making art from light, sound and electricity. The film is in production and coming soon. ## About the film CORK is as much about life as it is about art. Structured in loose chapters, or "steps," it follows Cork's practice of learning by doing, trusting his own instincts and finding beauty in the mundane. Its central themes are sound, light and momentum: the idea of physically and mentally opting in to a creative life. ## About Cork Marcheschi - San Francisco native, active in fine art and music for over 50 years - More than 130 solo exhibitions and over 50 public sculptures worldwide - Has taught sculpture, critical studies and art history at UC Berkeley, the San Francisco Art Institute and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design - Member of the late 1960s San Francisco band Fifty Foot Hose - Works heavily with electricity, light and custom built sound machines ## Credits - Director and Producer: Scott Lahn - Director of Photography: Evan Burris Trout - Editor: Kat Yi - Composer: David Chapdelaine ## Links - Website: https://corkfilm.com - Contact: hello@corkfilm.com
